| Gary is the creative,
forward-thinking, "willing to take a risk to succeed" guy you
want to help you take your business to the next level. His can-do aggressive,
positive attitude and willingness to explore all options makes him perfectly
suited to being a successful consultant. In our first year we built the
ACS/Compaq relationship to $46+million under his Executive leadership.
Gary enjoys life, enjoys people, and enjoys his work.
Jeff Rich, CEO, Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), Dallas,
Texas
I met Gary in 1992 at the beginning of the EDS/Compaq
relationship. Gary’s assignment was to have Compaq and EDS develop
a long term and mutually beneficial relationship. At the time EDS had
strong established relationships with other providers. Two things were
required of Gary, first he had to earn the trust of the EDS team and build
a base of business for Compaq. Gary also had to school Compaq, which had
sold through traditional retail channels, on how to sell to a large multi-national
systems services and systems integrator.
Gary succeeded across the board. Even today, Compaq,
now HP, is still a significant partner with EDS on a world wide basis.
He not only educated his own firm on how to develop a significant new
channel, but he also served EDS with energy and creativity.
Gary’s degree of professionalism, creative thinking,
ability to see the big picture and understand not only his business, but
EDS’s as well, are hallmarks of a first-rate sales executive. His
ability to establish and nurture a relationship is unsurpassed.
I might add that he also enjoys a good round of golf
from time to time.
Gary has the skills and talents to help you and your
company today.
Barry Sullivan, Retired Vice President, Electronic
Data Systems, (EDS), Dallas, Texas
During my tenure at Compaq Computer Corporation, I had
the privilege of having Gary report to me for over three (3) years as
the Director, EDS and later as the Director, Systems Integrators. Gary
took on this uncharted responsibility at Compaq and created a new successful
distribution channel.
Gary’s refreshing upbeat attitude and creative ways of solving
issues resulted in strong revenues and profits. He was selected to serve
on high level integration teams during both the Tandem and DEC acquisitions.
His contributions were invaluable in making those critical decisions.
Gary is an senior executive that you can count on to “give it all”
for you and your company.
J. Michael Pocock, President & CEO, Polaroid Corporation,
Waltham, MASS.
I have known Gary personally and socially for almost twenty years. In
addition, I recently had the opportunity to work with him professionally
as well. Gary reported to me as Executive Vice President of Sales while
I was Chairman and CEO of Micrografx, Inc. When Micrografx was acquired
by Corel Corporation, Gary became Executive Vice President of Sales for
Corel while I served on their Board of Directors.
Gary’s career progression has allowed him to gain a firm understanding
of effective techniques in sales force organization, sales operations,
sales compensation and client retention. He has been able to apply his
experience in all different sizes of organizations, from small, local
sales departments to diverse, multi-national sales forces.
Gary’s entry into the consulting business offers the opportunity
for companies in need of valuable sales expertise to get the benefit of
years of experience on a “part-time” basis that they would
not otherwise be able to.
James Hopkins, retired President, CEO and Chairman, Micrografx
(MGXI) and retired Board Member of Corel Corporation (CORL)
